What if?
“No one shows a child the sky.”
African Proverb
What if?
What if for just one day, we all stopped looking down?
What if for one day we all ignored the endless stream of information and opinion shouting for our attention?
What if for one day we all look up?
What if we pause, day or night, sunny or cloudy, and consider the sky above us?
What if we reflect upon the moment?
And, in returning to our digital worlds, we shared those reflections?
We personally invite you to join the world on a day that’s different than any other.
A day that’s not asking you to buy one more thing or “like” one more thing.
A day that invites you to remember that we are all members of the human race and we all (go throughout) (live) our days under the same sky.
We invite you to . . . Look Up.
And then share.
In the moments you looked up, what was sparked in your imagination? What did you remember? What did that gaze bring to your mind? Stir in your soul? Cause you to move in response? What did you dream about the future?
Take a photo. Draw. Write. Film.
Capture the moment when you remembered to Look Up and see yourself as part of the greater human race.
Share them and we will create a tapestry of our collective experience, hopes & dreams and perspectives as Earthlings.
Across this globe, for one twenty-four hour period, individually and through local, regional, and global events, we will celebrate our (common) sky.
We invite you to . . . Look Up.
In a time where those things that separate us are louder than ever, we invite you to look up and recognize what is common to us all—we are all Earthlings. We are all passengers upon this planet.
Look up and be a part of this beautiful planet and our place in the universe. Look up and embrace that we are both unique and part of something singular.
Look up to remember that our past, present and future has always been integrated by the stars and the sky above.
